Shri Naina Devi Ji is one of the most notable places of worship in Himachal Pradesh. Located in Distt Bilaspur, it is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths where limbs of Sati fell on Earth.
Once there, you will still be required to climb a few (100 or 150) steps to reach the main shrine. Its on the hilltop.
This is one of the 51 shaktipeethas (where the severed body parts of Goddess Sati fell) associated with the cult of Goddess Durga. It is believed that this is the location where the eyes of Goddess Sati fell and that is why the temple is called Naina (literally meaning eyes) Devi.
